A reinvented seaside resort project
Considering the success of LaKay Taina and the practical assistance offered to the community, Michel Figuet and Pierre Gaboury decided to invest time in a promising project: a new kind of eco-friendly seaside resort which offers a haven of peace to the inhabitants and to the visitors of Haiti. Ecotourism at its best! A small shop highlighting local craftsmen will also be built to stimulate the local economy and to enchant the faithful customers.
A practical assistance
According to the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), the local population urgently needs stabilisation and stimulative measures. The seaside resort project will concretely help more than 45 Haitian families thanks to the creation of long-term and stable jobs n the restaurant and hospitality industries.
A clientele not strongly targeted by the competition
We estimate that a significant number of potential guests, including the staff members of the NGOs in the region of Port-au-Prince and its surroundings, the inhabitants of the neighboring cities as well as the Canadian, American and European travellers will effectively prove to be part of our faithful customer base.
According to the subsidies received, the last three remaining phases of the project will be carried out as follows
